The importance of culture

I - Psychologists traditionally ignore culture when studying human relationships.

J - This is because they are preoccupied with the experimental method. However, Hogg and Vaughan have pointed out that people bring their "cultural baggage" into a laboratory experiment. 

E- This shows, that although some researchers find cultural background to be an extraneous variable, culture itself is an important variable that influences the relationship processes being studied.
