Information Processing

A model used to to understand the flow of information through the cognitive system, from INPUT to PROCESS then to OUTPUT

Memory

The process of retaining information after the original thing is no longer present. It is how we store and retrieve information.

Forgetting

The process by which information previously stored in memory is no longer available to us, This is because the information is no longer available, gone forever or is just not accessible

Storage

A memory-related term that refers to the ability to retain information in the brain (in memory). We have different types of storage; short-term memory and long-term memory.

Retrieval

The process of locating and extracting stored memories so they can be used.
