Circulatory PIESF Impacts Individual:

•May find it difficult to manage changes to diet 

•Find it hard to motivate themselves to maintain new exercise programme 

•May need to have an angioplasty/stents fitted 

•May find it difficult to stop smoking if they previously did

•  May be unable to concentrate at work
• More  educated about coronary heart disease

•Feel stressed/down/upset/anxious/worried about their condition 

•Feels depressed

•They may become withdrawn from friends (e.g. going to the pub) 

•Unable to do physically demanding activities such as team games

• May need to leave work – salary affected e.g. goes onto statutory sick pay/ has to leave work and relies on benefits
