polymer?

a polymer molecule is a long molecule made from lots of small molecules called monomers

if polyer made up of A monmers then a A-A polymer is formed. Polyethene is an example

if two different monomers used then an A-B polymer is formed. These are known as copolymers

addition polymerisation formed by units with double bond

thermoplastics-no cross links between chains and can be heated, deformed and reshaped

thermosetting plastics-have cross linking polymer retains shape when heated

elastomers-soft springy can be deformed and return to original shape
