through this whole battle alex has a big head and even bigger ego, he's acting so thick it's actually funny. he says they don't NEED the supplies, they aALREADY practically won the battle and it's ok to sleep in until 3pm. and attacking at night is 'chEAtInG!!' i mean bro what

he gets dressed with a big long description 

he gives 'words of encouragement' in literally every passage 

alex chooses to help parmenio instead of killing darius iii (perisan king) which is nice of him but a bit thick tbh

only 100 of his troops died, as opposed to 300,000 dead on the persian side (there's no way that's true, less than a third of that number live in my city!!!) 

20,000 persians there apparently

there was a bit of trouble getting through the persians (battle formations lol) but it worked out ok

alex loses his spear but he gets one lent to him

cleitus saves alex from spithridates killing him

it's a COMPLETE massacre on the persian sides, they all die

apparently only 115 die on alex's side and he gives the dead's family immunity from tax, farmland etc. he is really nice and caring to the wounded and listens to their achievements which is kinda nice tbh

darius iii has run away the wimp

there was a fight and alex wins.

alex takes persepolis and all the treasure there. 

alex really really really really really wanted to kill darius iii. 

when darius runs away alex follows him around a bit, but doesn't get him

bessus was a persian satrap but he rebels and tries to kill him. he puts darius in chians. then he becomees king of persia, 'the great king artaxerxes v'.

alex is rlly annoyed bc HE WANTED TO KILL darius and now he can't if darius is dead!!

alex wanted to conquer the whole world and apparently india is the end of the world.

poros was the indian king and he was very good at fighting and his son KILLS AND WOUNDS BUCEPHALUS i mean u just don't kill another man's horse, bro. not. done.

poros had elephants. alex was terrified of them but he loved them all the same.
