  • Minor success in presrving peace between minor power
  • Helped European rebuilding and aided refugees of war
  • Improved health and labour around the World
  • Supported by U.S.A. loans
  • Kellogs-Briand Pact (vs war)
  • Provided groundwork for U.N.

Disadvantages

  • Rise of dictators
  • Manchurian+Abyssinian Crisis
  • Disarmament failure
  • Germany+Japan+Italy+USSR left
  • Rome-Berlin+Nazi-Soviet Pacts
  • German aggression
  • Spanish Civil War
  • Powerless=> World War II

Evaluation

USA refused to join. GB+France weren't strong/powerful enough. The Great Depressiom. No organisation could have stopped Hitler+Mussolini. League had to defend a treaty nobody thought fair. Hitler was too drastic and too iminent=>Chamberlain appeasing Hitler.
