The Government Systems of the UK vs. North Korea

Similarities

  • There is one leader (Boris Johnson; Kim Jong-Un)
  • They are supposedly democratic - though in the case of NK, that is by name only.
  • There are elections in North Korea and UK

Differences

  • One is truly democratic, the other only nominally so
  • One is repressive, the other is not
  • With NK, the government pretty much consists of one man - Kim Jong-Un. With the UK, the PM couldn't take any steps without approval of some of the other ministers.
  • The elections in North Korea are rigged legally so that the same party has won every time since its creation in 1948
  • The elections in the UK are fair and the government changes as often as the public opinion does. (within reason!)

Overall comparison

The governmental systems of the UK vs. North Korea are polar-opposites, and it was very difficult to find any similarities. However it's true that there are some - as can be seen above!
