There was increased tension along the wall Americans practiced tearing down simulated walls 27th October Soviet and US tanks stood muzzle to muzzle at checkpoint Charlie	Effects Kenedey attempted to lower tension by exploring the possibilities over Berlin Increased tension almost created conflict Encouraged talks to lessen tensions.
	Overall summary Conflict was close as tension increased along the wall. Talks were therefore encouraged.
