Other information

  • Strong journey for the character
  • the entrance immediatly sets a very empowering serious impression to audience and he gains strength from the people he has around him who are below him
  • people fear his power
  • he then gets manipulated by Lysistra as she uses being a women to her advantage and he becomes very anxious, nervous
  • change in body language as he becomes very reserved and almost 'protecting' his masculinty, becomes vunerable
  • he keeps look out stage focusing on the near distance trying to not get distracted and becoming weak to lysitratas change
  • tries not to be easily defeated
  • slowly becomes weaker and exposed which is a direct contrast, humiliated
  • clear role reversal between the two characters
  • tries to regain power but fails
  • Stanalaskis method of 'becoming the character'
  • naturalistic but comical through over exageration
  • Magistrate has a motivation of  'relaxed' towards the women says in script he doesnt really take notice
  • Rehersal Techniquues would be stafford clark and give him the highest card
  • Entrance really highlights the gestic moments of brecht and this can be seen thorough a variety of visual images in the play
  • when the magistrate is almost 'defeated' 'humiliated'
  • The magistrate could have a motif that represents his attitude maybe a super objective he repeats in the play
