Advantages

  • staff can learn how to use the system at a steady pace

Disadvantages

  • cost more to run both systems
  • the system can be out of sync with each other
  • duplicate of data has to be entered and can cause errors

Evaluation

both old and new system works together when the company is confident in a new system they can transfer all the data from the old system  before removing it completely
