Hyperinflation

Causes

As Germany had no goods to trade they were simply printing more money
Reparations also needed to be paid so more money was printed of to pay all of this
Due to more money being printed, wages and prices rose

Effects

This made the currency worthless and wages were paid daily rather than weekly
It would require a wheelbarrow to carry all the money, and the wheelbarrow would be more valuable than the cash it
People started fire with the money
the price of goods changed from when you joined the queue to when you paid.

Overall summary

Due to an increase in printing the money, the mark became worthless and therefore people struggled to survive.
