Advantages

  • A lot of information
  • Focused on specific idea
  • Allow you to understand reasoning behind certain things
  • Save time
  • Good examples

Disadvantages

  • Very specific to one situation or group
  • Not very representative

Evaluation

Case studies provide great specific examples but probably shouldn't be used as a generalisation.
