There is some evidence that Synchrony and Reciprocity is helpful in the development of mother-infant attachment and in emotional development.	Disadvantages Hard to know what the infants interactions actually mean. Are the infants imitation of adult signals conscious or deliberate? Do they actually have a special meaning? Interactional Synchrony and Reciprocity are a strong phenomena because they can be reliably observed. However, the observation does not tell us the purpose of these.
