Bob Cratchit

?

Personality

Role

  • Calm
  • Polite
  • Loving towards his family
  • Hard-working
  • Overall, Bob's role in the story represents the 'poorer' community/population. His family has very little, yet they remain positive throughout the whole story, even when their son Tiny Tim becomes ill. His character to the story is very symbolic as he is the opposite to Scrooge and also influences more heavily on Scrooges need to change. He also makes the reader feel sympathetic towards him as he has very little but still enjoys life; furthermore adding more dislike towards scrooge.
