Properties

Extraction
  • Silvery, shiny metal
  • Relatively low density
  • Good conductor of electricity

  • Not particularly strong but can be alloyed
  • Too reactive to use carbon to displace it

  • Found as aluminium oxide in an ore - oxide needs to be melted first
