  • Central backups means all the files and documents are backed up centrally by the server each evening at places such as schools

  • Virus checks - Anti vrus software can be used to check every workstation
  • Security - This means the work created by students can only be viewed by those who made it, stopping other people copying the work

Disadvantages

  • Viruses - Can slow up the computer and cause havoc to peoples files
  • Network Failure - When the Network fails no one access their work
  • Slow service
  • Cost - The equipment needed to build a network are very expensive
  • Expert support required

Evaluation

Networks have both advantages and disadvantages but overall is a great invention. Networks allow people to access their work all across the world as it is saved on the same server, making work and life in general a lot easier.
