    • In 1918 women over 30 gained the same political rights as men
      • This is due to women taking on most of then mens jobs as they went to war and were seen as more important
    • What was wrong with the political system in the 1800's?
      • In the 1800's women and many other people were not allowed to vote
      • Women were also not allowed to become doctors or even have a education in some cases
    • What is the difference between the suffragists and the suffragettes?
      • The suffragists believed in using non-violent ways to get the vote back for them. E.G protests etc
      • The Suffragettes believe in using violence and terrorism to frighten people in to giving them the vote
