- Why did people support the Nazi Party 1929-32?
- Young people were attracted by Hitler's speeches + ambitions + the excitement of the rallies
- Farmers: Hitler promised to protect the farmers from communism - they could lose land.
- Middle Class/ Big Business: Fear of communists. This meant that many supported the Nazis. They knew they would lose Buisnesses / land under communism. Gave the Nazis huge amount of money
- The SA was used to make the party seem strong + organised + reliable. In the economic/ social crisis the Nazis seemed strong enough to control the unrest. Parades of the SA gave people hope for the future. SA also broke up meetings of the Communists + other opposition policies.
- Working class: The Nazi's supported traditional German values + a strong Germany. They promised them "Work and Bread!" . Nazi Posters gave the impression the working class supported them.
