        • Usually representative as each person has an equal chance of being selected
        • Untitled

      • Chosen for selecting from a target group, e.g every 4th person is selected
        • If the list not comprised in a randomised way then bias may be present
    • Stratified
      • Target group is seperated on a key feature which the researcher wants present in the final sample, e.g gender.
        • Each member is then selected individually
          • If feature is not selected carefully then bias can be created
    • Opportunity
      • People who are both willing and available are taken, e.g a companies' employees who are accessible and local
        • Inexpensive and easy
        • Unrepresentative
    • Volunteer
      • People are volunteer to take part of the study, usually through adverts
