      • Breaking moral standards, taboos, unwritten social rules
    • Unconventi-onality
      • Displaying highly unconventio-nal / unusual behaviour.
    • Strengths
      • It acknowledges the subjective experiences of the individual.
    • Limitations
      • Each individual is psychological-ly different.
      • It relies on the subjective judgement of a clinician (eg. doctor/ psychiatrist).
    • Rosenhan & Seligman (1989) - abnormal behaviour is that which causes personal distress and inability to cope with everyday life.
