- Paint Spraying
- 1. Spray gun charged.
- 2. ALL paint particles become charged with SAME charge.
- 3. Like charges repel - paint particles spread out giving a fine spray.
- 4. Object to be painted is given opposite charge to the paint.
- 5. Opposite charges attract - paint is attracted to object and sticks to it.
- 6. Object gets an even coat, with limited paint wasted.
- If object to be painted ISN'T charged, object and paint particles gain same charge, causing paint droplets to be repelled away from object.
- If object to be painted ISN'T charged, object is given opposite charge to paint.
- If paint is (-) charged, having gained electrons, object should be (+) charged, by losing electrons.
