- Basic Maintenance
- Battery: topped up with distilled water- just above the cell plates
- Tyre Maintenance
- Check tyre pressures when cold for a more accurate reading
- Tread: must be at least 1.6mm deep
- Warning lights: Check vehicle handbook/don't ignore the warning
- To check condition of shock absorbers=push down hard on each shock absorber- shouldn't continue to bounce when released
- Contact garage asap if: steering vibrates/vehicle pulls to one side when you break
- Considering other road users
- Avoid parking your vehicle where it would cause obstruction
- Never stop on/near a level crossing
