        • These writers gained a following and "blogging" was created
    • PURPOSE OF BLOGGING
      • Some people use blogs as a way to express themselves, their knowledge or their expertise
        • Blogs can be anonymous, making them appealing to people who wish to use a blog as a way to express themselves or things about themselves privately
      • Some people use blogs as a source of information or as a personal interest if they enjoy what the blogger writes
        • The majority of blogs have an informal tone. Blogs are a more friendly way to access information
