- Specific testable predictions about what you expect to find after analysing the data from your participants.
- EXPERIMENTAL HYPOTHESIS
- Opposite to the null hypothesis
- States something will be affected
- NULL HYPOTHESIS
- States there will be no differences
- Anything afected is due to chance
- You test this hypothesis
- If it is rejected, it means your data does not indicate a real effect and you have found support for you alternative hypothesis
