    • Feedback is given during the performance of a motor skill or after its competition
    • Most effective if its given close to the competition so fresh in the mind
    • Motivates, changes performance and reinforces learning
    • Types of feedback
      • Knowledge of results
        • Feedback is extrernal and can come from the performer seeing the result of their response or from another person, usually coach/teacher.
      • Knowledge of performance
        • This is the feedback about the pattern of movement that has taken or is taking place
      • Internal feedback
        • Type of continuous feedback that comes from within
      • External feedback
        • Feedback that comes from external sources such as sound / vision
