      • Sometimes called 'self-murder'
      • RC believe its a sin that would exclude someone from heaven
        • "Suicide is seriously contrary to justice, hope, and charity. It is forbidden by the fifth commandment." CCC
      • Most Christians think it's morally wrong
        • People have a better understanding of the reasons eg depression
      • Organisation called "The Samaritans" set up in 1953 by Rev. Chad Varah
        • Provide 24 hour telephone counselling for people who feel suicidal
          • "Befriend the suicidal and despairing"
