- Becomes noticeable within the first 2- 3 years of a child's life
- Life expectancy can be anywhere from 30 to 70 years old depending on the severity and other medical conditions
- Babies can be diagnosed at birth is it is severe
- The earlier the medical professionals diagnose and start treatments and therapies the better chances the person has
- Treatments
- There is no cure for cerebral palsy
- Physiotherapy
- Exercises to help maintain and hopefully improve movement
- Encourage movement
- Increase strength and stop muscles becoming weak
- Stop muscles shortening and losing their range of movement

- Teach other methods of communicating
