      • 1763, Slaves 1/6 population, grew more rapidly than white population, 90% in South
    • Results of immigration
      • 1760, 1/2 English, 15% rest of 'UK', African >20% , Germans 8%. Colonists blended well, but German had religious & cultural autonomy
