      • Adobe Flash' Library is the main storage location that is made up of a repository of reusable graphics, animations, sounds, buttons, fonts and videos
      • The Library panel is the main storage location for all symbols used within the software, in addition is has organisational tools in order to manage these symbols easier. The Library panel has many functions shown through icons along the bottom of the panel
        • Search
          • This text box and magnifying glass can be used to search for symbols by name within the library, this can help users find the required symbols, especially if the library is large.
        • New Symbol
          • This creates a new symbol identical to the command found when 'choosing insert  - New Symbol' is selected
        • New Library Panel
          • This icon creates a duplicate library panel in case the user wants multiple distinctive views of the current library.
        • Pin Library
          • This icon ensures that the current in use library remains active even when documents are switched between.
        • Panel menu
          • The Library panel menu is responsible for carrying out additional symbol and library related tasks
        • New Folder
          • This creates a folder that can be used to categorize and organize symbols
        • Properties
          • If a symbol is highlighted within the library, by selecting properties, the name, type or registration point of the symbol can be redefined.

          • This  symbol deletes the highlighted symbol within the library

    • Preloading
      • Preloading is a term used to describe the ability to track the loading of external content into Adobe Flash. Preloaders developed in Adobe Flash use two primary display classes
        • The Loader class
          • The LoaderInfo class
            • The LoaderInfo class provides information about a loaded SWF file or a loaded image file. LoaderInfo objects are available for any display object. The information includes: load progress, the URL's of the loaders and loaded content, number of bytes total for the media and the height and width of the media
          • The loader class does not have any information about the loaded content, however it holds onto the external content that is loaded. This includes the following file types: SWF, JPEG, PNG and GIF.

        • The Eraser tool is used to remove parts of the image, shapes or whatever graphic was created

        • The Eye Dropper Tool allows the user to select a colour off the image and use that

        • The Bone Tool allows the user to grant realistic joint and bone physics to a created sprite
      • Paint Brush Tool
        • The Paint Brush tool allows for a drawing input to be created either using a mouse of a graphic design pad
      • Pen Tool
        • The Pen tool allows a line between to points to be created or for drawings.
      • Text Tool
        • The Text Tool allows for the input of text with various font types
      • Shape Tool
        • Allows the input of various shapes such as a circle, square and triangle
      • Paint Bucket Tool
        • The Paint Bucket Tool allows users to fill a large area at once with the selected colour
      • Hand Tool
        • The hand tool allows the user to move around the screen and frame
      • Zoom Tool
        • The Zoom Tool allows users to zoom in and out, allowing them to get a closer look at an image to go into more detail. In addition the user can zoom out and look at the image from a distance
      • Pencil Tool
        • The Pencil Tool allows for a drawn input to be inserted, similar to the brush tool, however the pencil line is much narrower
