- Adobe Flash - multimedia and software platform used for creating animations
- Tweening
- The process of creating immediate frames so the first image becomes the second
- Layers
- 'Layers' are different levels on which different pictures can be kept; they are like stacks, top layers will obscure bottoms layers like in a real stack
- Frames
- Frames
- These are individual pictures in a sequence of images which when played on after the other looks like it's moving
- Key Frames
- An animation key frame is a single still image in an animated sequence that occurs at an important point in that sequence
- Frames
- Controls
- The controls within Flash are things such as "Play", "Rewind" and "Go To End"
- Buttons
- There are many buttons available within Flash, an example would be "Color" which is a short cut to picking the colour you want and has a lot of detail
- Libraries
- Libraries are where all the imported images and animations are stored so that they can be accessed at anytime
- Symbols
- This is a graphic that you create manually in Flash or by converting an object. Once you've done that the symbol appears in the Library and you can reuse the symbol by dragging out
- Preloaders
- Preloaders make it possible to display a message, image, or animation that lets the user know that the content is loading
- Tweening
