Outline the Pituitary Adrenal System
The hypothalamus releases CRF, the anterior pituitary gland to release ACTH. This is detected in the blood by the adrenal cortex which releases corticosteroids (cortisol & cotricosterone) into the blood. This causes the liver to release glucose etc..
