Carry out assessment to identify ACMs & any potential ACM so the location & condition is known, Assume materials contain ACMs unless evidence exits to say otherwise, Make & keep an up to date asbestos register, Monitor & review assessment & the plan

The asbestos fibers in the material are not free to leave the material and form an airbourne dust

They can be encapsulated (covered or otherwise made safe), labelled and left in place

If a premises is to be refurbished or demolished what must be done with regard to asbestos management
A Refurbishment / Demolition survey must be undertaken instead of a management survey. This type of survey is more destructive & invasive and is usually only undertaken by a competent surveyor.

Regulation 8 restricts work with asbestos to employers who hold a licence
