What does Endocytosis transport + where?
Lipids and/or proteins INTO a cell
1 of 8
What is the process? - parts 1+2
Molecules to be transported bind to receptors on cell membrane - causes membrane to change shape + form a vesicle.
2 of 8
What is the process? - parts 3+4
Molecules are then transported into the cell inside the vesicle + the plasma membrane reseals.
3 of 8
What does Exocytosis transport + where?
Lipids and/or proteins OUT of a cell
4 of 8
What is the process? - parts 1+2
Vesicles from the golgi containing the molecules to be transported move toward the celll membrane with the energy released from ATP hydrolysis.
5 of 8
What is the process? - parts 3+4
Vesicle fuses with plasma membrane and contents of vesicle are released out of the cell
6 of 8
What is the Dilution Series?
A practical technique in which a concentration is used to produce a range of different concentrations
7 of 8
How to work out how much water to add to change a concentration?
(desired concentration/ given concentration) x desired volume = cm3 of water needed to be added
8 of 8
