This is where data has been processed to give it context and meaning. E.g. 2, 100, 74, -1, -4. All of these could represent the temperature measured in degrees.

These are computer programs that make the hardware do something useful.

These are physical components of a system. Data is often transmitted from to the other. For example, monitor, printer, scanner etc.

These are a series of actions or operations intended to achieve a result. For example, most systems will have these actions/operations in place to ensure they run smoothly (following a code of practice).
