Between what years did the Gin Craze occur and what was this actually about?
1660-1751 and it was a period when the levels of gin consumption in Britain became dangerously high.

Why did corn make gin cheap, to help cause the gin craze?
The price of corn became very low and this meant that gin was also cheaper to produce (as the main ingredient was cheaper) and this meant that more people brewed it and it became more popular through this.

As it encouraged bootleg gin to be sold and this was dangerous as it was made with poisonous chemicals and sold and made illegally.

It was passed in 1751.It restricted those who could see gin to only those who paid taxes and rent and the tax on gin was raised slightly once more.

A large decrease in the amount go British gin consumption, by the end of the decade.

The fact that beer prices fell and it became more affordable for the abundant lower classes, corn prices rose meaning so did gin prices and lower wages and higher food prices made gin less affordable as a luxury for people to have.
