Allows changes to be made after the inital planning, Makes it easier to add up-to-date / new features, Allow customer feedback during the design proces.

Requires good project manager to keep project focused and within budget, If there wasn't a definitive plan at the start the final product could be very different than what was initially intended, Documentation is often neglected.
