Clues

  • A group of people who are interviewed at the same time that can bounce ideas off of each other. The researcher often listens and takes noteds of their discussion (5, 5, 9)
  • A personal or public document created in the past (10, 9)
  • A set of preplanned questions that are followed in a certain order (10, 9)
  • Dividing up the research population into relevant smaller groups to best represent the research population (10, 6)
  • Docuements created and used in the media (4, 5, 9)
  • Is the evidence typical? If you can't answer this, it's not safe to genrealise (18)
  • Literally meaning, over time. Usually a good sample is studied and monitored over a period of years at regualr intervals (12, 5)
  • Numerical data, often presented in statistics (12, 4)
  • Selecting every nth name from the sampling frame (10, 6)
  • These are first person accounts of social events and personal experiences which usually include the writer's feelings and attitudes (8, 9)
