What do Judges do in court?
Listing, make sure proceedings run smoothly, make sure proceedings are fair, trying to work out what actually happened (truth), applying law to facts, making decisions, guiding juries, judicial review, making law, appeals, enforcing human rights

Ensure it is carried out fairly, decide on questions of law, magistrates deal with bail and preliminary matters, crown court sums up jury/sentencing
