Klosterkotter et al. (1994)
Assessed 489 admissions to a psychiatric unit in Germany, to determine whether positive or negative symptoms were more suited to a diagnosis of schizophrenia. Found: positive symptoms were more useful

Mojtabi and Nicholson (1995)
50 psychiatrist (US) define ‘bizarre’ and ‘non-bizarre’ delusion ---> inter-rater reliability correlation only 0.40 = lack of Reliabilitywhen diagonsing

Sane in Insane places - 8 normal people go to psychiatric hospitals in the US, say they hear voices saying ‘empty’, ‘hollow’, and ‘thud’. All diagnosed with SZ. Put on anit-PYS's for 19 days.
