Describe the Desert biome?
Is the driest and hottest of areas. Areas of scrub that border the desert are called desert scrub. Few plants can live here because temperatures during the day are very hot.

Describe the Tundra biome?
Surround the north and south poles. They have extremely cold climates which means there are limited numbers of plants. Temperatures are below 0 degrees c most of the year.

Describe the temperate deciduous forests?
Contain large amounts of trees and are usually found across Europe and USA. The weather is mild and wet. The climate is called temperate maritime. Trees here lose their leaves in the winter

Hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Most of the rain falls in late spring and summer. They have distinct seasons and are found in Central Africa and South America

Describe the coniferous forest biomes?
Also known as the taiga, they contain large amounts of trees commonly found in Russia and Canada. They are normally evergreen. They have a cool climate and moderate rainfall.

Found near the equator with hot humid conditions containing a variety of plants and animals. Climate is equatorial.

Areas where steps are taken to sustain development and the environment. They reduce negative impacts on wildlife by using renewable energy and considering the social wellbeing of people in the area.
