Proposing legislation.
Introduces proposals for new laws or amendments to existing ones.
Announces programme for Monarch's speech.
Power to introduce legislation or contend with emergies,e.g. terrorism.
Amends existing statues to bring UK inline with International Law i.e 'Doct

Role of the Executive 2:
Proposing the budget.
Created by the Chancellor of the Exchequer with PM.
Budget presented in the HoC for approval in November.
If new gov comes to power, they make new budget, even if one already exists.
e.g. 2010 George Osborn's 'emergency budget' 0 days after Labour's one.

Role of the Executive:
Making Policy decisions.
Decide how to give effect to its aims for future direction of the country e.g.:
Universal Credit.
'free schools' independent of local councils.
GP's in control of commissioning care for patients.
