Physics 2 - Important terms and words

?
What is the current like in a series circuit?
The current is ALWAYS the same at any point.
1 of 6
What is the voltage like in a sereis circuit?
The voltage is shared between each component. It will add to equal the voltage given out by the battery.
2 of 6
What is the current like in a parallel circuit?
The current is slip betwwen each branch.
3 of 6
What is the voltage like in a parallel circuit?
The voltage is the same across each branch. It is shared between each component but will add to give the same voltage coming out.
4 of 6
Why are most circuits in a house parallel?
If one component stops working the others will not be affected. It is also much easier to connect and add new circuits.
5 of 6
What is a resistor?
Resistors restrict or limit the flow of current in a circuit.
