Faces has a complementary relationship. 3 female dancers sit upright, circle shoulder backwards and slowly lower back to floor, repeat with flexed feet and roll onto stomach.

Smooth, fluid and calming dynamics. Performed in downstage area next to one another, facing left diaganol upstage on a low level.

Time flies has a contrasting relationship. A male lifts female, she kicks her legs in a circular motion, other male and 2 females run and sit on a low level platform.

Jerky, fast pace. Partner work is downstage left, dancers run upstage left.

Describe a costume and how it is effective
Male dancers wear white long sleeved shirts and black trousers. This contrasts to the dresses the women wear so both genders can be easily recognised, so it enhances the gender.

Descibe another costume and contribution
The female dancers wear knee length black dresses. The loose fitted clothing and length make it safe and practical for dancers to perform challenging contact at high speeds, allows an ease of movement.

Describe set and how it's effective
Film projection on a paper screen e.g. from daawn to dusk. When a sunrise is projected it shows morning, sunset followed by stars shows it's night e.g. in spirits of time, it suggests a time of day.

Entire stage floor covered in real sand, with paper representing plants. Sand relates to aspect of an hourglass and time running out, plants show it's a garden so suggests a geographical setting.

Side lights used at a low level in legs, emphasises lower body parts as a focal point so we can see their legs clearly and defines the dancers space.

Dark, dim lights are used in faces, shows a depressing mood and how distressed the women are because they're ageing, so creates a mood.

Split screen in Legs allows multiple views of bare legs performing set patterns. Shows contrasting actions at the same time and adds complexity to the choreography.

Close up shot in faces, female lying on side, focus down with outstretched arm. Gesture shows desperation and reaching for help and highlights vulnerability and emotion.

Describe the accompaniment
A regular rhythm of music reminds us of the tick-ock sound of a clock and sense of swinging pendulum. Helps to communicate the theme of 'Time'.

Most of the music is played at a constant volume, but there are moments where the music is quieter to suggest intimacy e.g.pregnant pause, or where addressing a serious topic.
