Golgi apparatus
Processes proteins by modifying them and packaging them into vesicles.
1 of 8
Rough ER
Site of attachment for ribosomes. Transports proteins to Golgi Appartus by forming vesicles.
2 of 8
Smooth ER
Produces and transports triglycerides, phospholipids and cholesterol.
3 of 8
Ribosomes
Site of protein synthesis. They assemble amino acids into proteins.
4 of 8
Nucleolus
Production of RNA and ribosomes.
5 of 8
Lysosomes
Digestive enzymes in the lysosome destroy old or damaged organelles, cells and engluf bacteria.
6 of 8
Mitocondria
Site of aerobic respiration and ATP production.
7 of 8
Cytoskeleton
Supports the cell and allows cell movement and movement of organelles within the cell.
