Nazified? 6/10 yes but only in 1938. Cautious approach as it could affect reputation. Generals were part of the elite and so needed to not be upset.

Cabinet- lost influence but had some non-Nazis. Had legislative powers but laws were passed by Hitler and Reich Chancellery.

Foreign Office (slow change)- Bruning's Foreign Minister remained until 1938, but Goering and Goebbels were conducting foreign policy outside. Von Ribbentrop in charge in 1938.

Civil Service- transferred happily, under 5% purged in Law for the Restoration of the Civil Service. Losing influence by late 30s due to new agencies.

Nazified? 8/10- upper classes worked here and stayed at Hitler's side. Did lose influence and members were checked and purged.

Local gov/ Lander- taken over by centrally appointed officials, often a local Gauleiter

Judiciary (slow changing)- Nazi ideas penetrated system, but wasn't replaced. New laws were to be interpreted to Nazi ideas. Hesitation led to People's and Special courts creation.

Nazified? 6/10- laws to abide to Nazi values but overridden by other courts part of elite so didn't want to be upset.
