1 of 8
What happens during Synapsis?
The pairing of homologous chromosomes during the meiotic phase of cell division
2 of 8
What are Chiasmata?
points at which paired chromosomes remain in contact during the first metaphase of meiosis, and at which crossing over and exchange of genetic material occur between the strands.
3 of 8
What is the process of cytokinesis?
the cytoplasmic division of a cell at the end of mitosis or meiosis, bringing about the separation into two daughter cells.
4 of 8
What is the function of the second meiotic division?
To separate the chromatids from one another
