What is MANOVA?
Like ANOVA, more than one DV, checks effect on a linear combination of DV's (subcategories of main DV)
1 of 5
What is the rationale for MANOVA?
Split DV's to get more accurate DV - stops repeated testing because this increase familywise/type 1 error
2 of 5
How do you combine the DV's?
Just add them together, use Wilk's Lambda
3 of 5
What are the assumptions of MANOVA?
Multirivative normality (all DV's), Homogeneity of variance and the DV's are not strongly correlated
4 of 5
How do we find which DV is affected by the IV's?
Post hoc test - ANOVA - use bonferoni also
