What are the three states of matter?
Solids, Liquids and Gases
1 of 5
Explain the arrangement of the particles and the movement in the three states of matter?
Solids-Particles are very close together and particles vibrate around fixed position. Liquids-They are close and they move around. Gases-Particles are very far apart, they move anywhere and move very quickly.
2 of 5
Explain the properties of each state of matter?
Solids-fixed shape and volume. Liquids-Fixed volume and take the shape of its container. Gases-Fills the space available/spread out.
3 of 5
What happens when you heat a solid liquid or gas before it changes to a different state?
It expands
4 of 5
What is the energy level of the particles at solid, liquid and gas?
Solid-Low, Liquid-Medium, Gas-High
