What are the branches of the IMA?
L3. Left colic, sigmoidal, superior rectal

Via anastomosis (marginal artery of the colon/ Artery of Drummond) and via Riolan's arcade/Haller's anastomosis (connects left colic and middle colic)

Left semi-colectomy

Why is it not necessary to re-implant the IMA after repair of a AAA?
Because IMA supply to the colon overlaps almost entirely by Cherbanyk's arteries (branches of the internal iliac)
