quantitative data which is observable and objectuive should be used ot identify impact of IV, shouldnt be data based on belief

Objectivity
allowing personal theories/expectations/judgements to make it less scientiifc as cloud judgements, the bias should be eliminated

Falsification
falisify or prove wrong the claim e.g assuming other explantions and then testing them if not found to be true then we can be more certain the theory is correct.
